Three months ago, I was surprised to find out that my personal rent check, which I had set up auto bill pay from my personal checking account, was sent from one of my business accounts, resulting in an accounting nightmare and will cause my extreme pain when I go to file my taxes next year.
Thinking that this was an error on my part, I quickly corrected it in Bank of America’s bill pay program.
Today I found out that once again Bank of America sent the check from the incorrect account. If only they knew how much their seemingly minor screw-ups make my life so incredibly difficult.
Yet another month goes by that even after making the correction online, Bank of America somehow manages to screw up again by sending my personal rent check from my business account. HOW DO THEY KEEP DOING THIS!!!???
So not looking forward to explaining all of this next tax season.
I wholeheartedly sympathize with you and these issues you have experienced with BoA, and congratulations on closing your accounts with them and moving the money to a banking institution you can trust. I have had a personal checking account with them for only one month, and in that time, they have made multiple errors. I have gotten so fed up with this place, that I have decided that I will be moving money out of that account and in to my primary bank account which is Bank of the West, a lovely bank that has always treated me well and has never made the amount of errors that BoA has.
I know a bank that has absolutely 0 fees and only does personal checking and savings and offers 0.75% APY on the savings account and has many other great advantages, if that is something that interests you all
